1. Who we are

Planquiry ("we", "us", "our") operates planquiry.com, an AI-powered lesson planning service for educators. Questions about this policy can be directed to contact@planquiry.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the Service:

  • Account information: your name, email address, and encrypted password when you register
  • Lesson plan data: the content of lesson plans you generate and save, including the form inputs you provide (subject, grade level, framework selections)
  • Usage data: basic logs including login timestamps and plan generation counts for billing and security purposes
  • Payment information: handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full card details

3. What we do not collect

  • We do not collect any student data. Students do not interact with Planquiry directly
  • We do not track your browsing behaviour across other websites
  • We do not run advertising and do not share your data with advertisers
  • We do not sell your personal data to any third party

4. How we use your data

  • To provide and improve the Service — generating lesson plans, saving your history, managing your account
  • To send transactional emails — account verification, password resets, billing receipts
  • To communicate service updates — we may email registered users about significant changes to the Service
  • To enforce our Terms of Service and protect the security of the platform

5. AI processing

Lesson plan generation is powered by the Anthropic Claude API. When you generate a plan, your form inputs are sent to Anthropic's API to produce the plan text. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy. We do not send personally identifiable information (such as your name or email) to the API — only the educational content you enter into the planner form.

6. Google Classroom integration

Planquiry offers optional integration with Google Classroom. If you choose to connect your Google account, we request the following permissions:

  • View your Google Classroom courses — to let you select which class to post assignments to
  • Create and manage coursework — to post assignments as drafts in your selected course
  • Create and edit Google Sheets — to generate rubric spreadsheets attached to assignments
  • Create files in Google Drive — to store the rubric sheets created on your behalf
  • View your email address — to display which Google account is connected

We store your Google OAuth access token and refresh token securely in our database solely to enable this feature. We do not read, modify, or access any Google Classroom data beyond what is required to post the assignments you explicitly request. We never share your Google data with third parties. You can disconnect your Google account at any time from the Billing page, which immediately revokes our access and deletes your tokens from our database. Planquiry's use of Google APIs is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted passwords (bcrypt), HTTPS-only connections, CSRF protection, and rate limiting. We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing contact@planquiry.com.

8. Cookies

Planquiry uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. No third-party cookies are set by our platform.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct any inaccuracies, request deletion of your data, and export your lesson plans. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@planquiry.com.

10. Children's privacy

Planquiry is a tool for educators and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
